Paul Sarkis Studio

I'm a photographer and painter based in Palm Springs, California. My paintings are inspired by the colors and changing light of the desert. Commissions are available, and I'm glad to work with clients and designers to create unique palettes.

My focus is on contemporary designs with a midcentury modern color palette,
inspired by the California hard edge style of the 1960s, combining geometric abstraction with the intense hues and bold forms of color field painting.

I am currently represented by Wade Sysco Gallery and Phylum, both located in Palm Springs' Uptown Design District.

As a photographer, my work centers on celebrity portraiture and on-set unit stills photography. My photos have been used to promote numerous feature films and television series during the last ten years, including Showtime's "Shameless," "Yellowjackets," and "The Affair," and other shows from AppleTV+, HBO, NBC, ABC, CBS, and FX.

Prior to my career as a visual artist, I spent many years as a journalist and editor covering Congress and the US Supreme Court. I received a BA degree from The Pennsylvania State University, and a JD from Vermont Law School.
