FAQ
Do you accept commissions?
Yes, I'm open to commissions for private collectors, interior designers, and commercial installations. I require a 50 percent deposit upon the client's acceptance of my written cost, design, and color proposal. The balance is due upon completion of the artwork and prior to delivery or shipment. All commissioned sales are final.
What influences and inspires you?
I'm fortunate to live in Palm Springs, California, where Midcentury Modern style can be found everywhere. The architecture here incorporates natural elements like wood, stone, and most of all, the light of the desert landscape. I'm drawn to MidMod interior design and Danish Modernism, with its simple forms and bold color pairings. Modern artists like Frank Stella, Ellsworth Kelly, and Sol Lewitt inform my use of color and pattern.
What about shipping and sales tax?
Shipping costs to the United States are included in the price listed on this site for all original paintings and archival prints. If you're located in Southern California, I'll probably deliver your original painting in person and even help you hang it! Please contact me to arrange for international shipping, which will incur additional costs based on the destination.
What about framing?
I offer all of my original paintings framed or unframed. I hand-build each of my frames from oak, and I offer either a tea-stained, oil-rubbed finish, which shows off the natural color and grain of the wood, or a traditional Shou Sugi Ban finish, which you can learn more about here!
